Hi Starvin_Martin,
For Tier 2 General visa query, I got a mail from VFS saying priority visa service is only from Bangalore and service is not extended to Delhi. I have applied Tier 2 ICT in Fast track last year July 2013 in Delhi and most visa agents in delhi are saying there is a priority service in delhi for Tier 2 General.. My question is can one apply in bangalore travelling all the way from delhi or should I try priority visa for main migrant alone and if its successful try for 2 dependents once the main migrant passport is received with Tier 2 general visa.. Please suggest .Any help is greatly appreciated as I am planning to apply tommorrow.

Thanks starvin_marvin for information about the priority service. Any idea, if this service is only limited to applicants who have already been to UK?

upon my status inquiry, I got this status: "A decision in an application has been
delayed whilst further inquiries are conducted". How long these verification process takes in Pakistan? Any one from Pakistan had such issues?

@ Rola2

Usually the TB certificate is issued on the same day. If there is a need of further tests then it takes time.

I got my passports back today (8th August). Got a refusal letter because salary mentioned in the CoS is less than the minimum salary for the job code assigned. The application was processed in 8 working days.
Please check the post: http://www.immigrationboards.com/uk-tie ... 70072.html Any idea on what should be done ?

Friends - can someone pls reply to my questions below:
Could you please share your experience in filling up the form and the documentation that is required to be submitted in India? Do you get priority appointments without wait in VFS? (I need to go to Bangalore). I have seen some posts that talk about Tenancy agreement, will the Utility and council tax bills be enough? Should bank statements be 90 days or best to have more than 90 Days. Does one needs to provide address proofs in India? Like you, we live here and our addresses and bank statements are from the UK. Also, do we need to submit our original Biometrics if we have a valid one already?

I have lots of questions re the application form. I don't think one can submit the application still being in the UK. Any other way to book an appointment?

Dependents applications will be applied from the UK, does the primary tier2 Gen applicant still has to provide marriage certificate or any birth certificates?
If you can give advice on anything specific one needs to be prepared for pls?

Dear Moderators,

I applied for T2 general visa in Bangalore on the 30th of July. When I asked the lady who collected my documents about the email/sms service, she said that due to technical issues email or sms will not be sent. I didn't even receive the email stating my application was forwarded to the British High Commission. I verified this by sending an email to the vfs helpdesk team.

Those who received the visa recently how were you notified? Was it only by the courier agent or was there an email from vfs?

Thanks in advance. .

Hi,

You will receive the email stating that you visa application has been processed... then the next day you will get the courier if you opt the courier service or else you need to pick up from vfs centre.

My case it took me 9 working days... to get my tier 2 general visa.

Thanks,
sesha

Unfortunately, I saw your post only today. Hope you have applied your visa already.

Irrespective of where you live, you can apply from any VFS centre in India.

You don't need to have travelled to UK in the past. I've never been to UK and my application was accepted for Fast Track processing.

Can any expert suggest if I can apply dependent Tier 2 ( Spouse + child) while the main migrant visa is yet to be granted . This is to reduce the waiting time for dependent visa to arrive and depart for UK little early.

Hi,
Can anyone confirm if there is a priority service available in Mumbai VFS locations and whether this can be opted for in case the application is a Tier 2 General Dependent visa application ( spouse already on Tier 2 General visa).

Thanks.
