Irish Passport Application

Hey, just have a quick question with regards to the time it took for the passport to be issued once you have sent all documents especially during the summer months when it’s meant to be busier? I have submitted mine on the 14th of July 2014.

it wasnt supposedly busy time when i sent mine, and it took 13 business (3weeks) days to receive it. system didnt show any information other than received for two weeks, and after two weeks it started changing

thank you Bundle, i just started my 3rd week today, so I shall wait patiently.

i applied on 8th july . their site shows received on 9th july. last 2 weeks the status was "received and registered". today i saw " it is being checked". hopefully this week they send my passport....dds

I'm also in the same situation, the process takes too long, over 3 weeks by now. My status is still "received and registered

I have sent my application to them on the 14th of July, received on the 15th of July, and still at the received status today the 30th of July 2014.

Just to update, just yesterday, my status all of a sudden changed from "received and registered" to "posted with tracking code", and it arrived today.
So, be patient since they dont keep your status uptodate with the real process.
Processing time is nearly 19 working days.

as i told my previous post, i got yesterday my passport.. it takes 3 weeks from apply...dds

we applied on sat 5th july, it was received and registered on Tues 8th of july. today, 31 july it says "being checked", this is now exactly 18 working days, i wanted my passport badly this WE for travel, im very disappointed that it says 15 working days as the max wait time, and i haven't received anything yet, and the tracking system seems not accurate..

it has just changed couple of min ago to approved!!! happy but still eagerly waiting for the passport to come in by post. hope it comes in tomorrow, or else, my plan is screwed for travelling this WE!

Finally the status on my application has changed to "being checked" - hope to get the passport soon - unless I am missing something.
