natualisation time tracker

Post by badr-amiche » Tue Aug 19, 2014 8:20 pm

hello to everybody in this forum and thank you all for helping each other...
here is my residency story.
no eu married to eu
entered the state on 7-11-2009
+registered with the local garda station on 09-11-2009 and got one year( issued stamp4 eufam 23-11-2009 to 09-11-2010 ).
after when it finished i came back then got another year ( 08-11-2010 to 09-11-2011 )
then i applied for eu1 (got temporary card from 28-07-2011 to 14-12-2011 but they gave me just stamp 4 instead of stamp 4eufam and to avoid trouble with my emplyer (work permit ) had to come back again to the immigration officer then he gave me another card from 14-08-2011 to 14-12-2011 stamp 4 eufam.
after that i got the 5 years residency starting from 31-12-2011 to 06-04-2014 ( not full 5 years because of the passport validity then i changed my passport on 2012 then went back and he stamped for me all the rest 01-02-2012 to 09-12-2016.
so i am completly lost with all the dates as to me it looks a big mess especialy when i tried to use the timeline tracker.
my question is: because i entered the state liggally on the 7 of november 2009. can i apply for the naturalisation from next november or i have to wait more
please help me because i am really lost

@badr

i thnk ur residency wud b counted from 23/11/2009. this is d date wen ur stamped from by GNIB (M I RITE?)

if tht wud b d case thn u can apply in ths november. make sure u dont have any skip in ur days as per GNIB stamps and also tht u did not go out of this country for more than 90 days in continuation. if these dates r ok, thn no1 can stop u from gettng ur naturalisation :D

So that mean I am oky so far. Can I apply from now? If yes. What to do with time tracker because I think you need to attach a copy of it with your documents.is that right?

Guy. I just was counting stamps and realising that I have a gap from 14.12.2011 to 31.11.2011 because was waiting for the 5 yrs stamp so its not my mistake that I was issued the card after 17 days later than I need. Is that mean I can apply now or I have to come back to immigration officer to check that out or just go ahead and apply. Plz help because I am so worried

Hi again
Here is what the calculation gives me
""Residency in year prior to application ok
Less than 5 Years Residency
Based on the information entered you are 15 days short of meeting the 5 year Statutory residency requirement. Subject to the provisions contained in Section 16 of the Irish Nationality and Citizenship Act , 1956, as amended, you should not sign the statutory declaration and lodge your application until this period has elapsed.""
is that mean I have lost 2 years of residency and need start counting from 2011 instead 2009 ;-( sooo upseting

Oh for Gods sake, its simple math, if calculator says you r short of 15 days. so its mean you have to wait 15 days, then apply.
You did not lose your previous stamped days. your residency ll be calculated from your first GNIB stamp. so, once 15 days are up, then you use residency calculator again, it ll show green 'tick' and ll tell you to apply.
Dnt need to be upset. I had gap of almost 80 days between diff stamps and had to wait 80 days and then I applied and approved. Also, now I am waiting for 22nd Sep, while I got approval letter in mid july. So nothing you do except wait and chill-ax.
