Paying application fee while living at new different address

Post by cool mind » Wed Jun 11, 2014 10:33 pm

Hello guys,
A little query regarding paying the postal application. If the debit card/credit card is registered at old address but the applicant is living now on new address and the application correspondence address is also new address. Then whether will that be any problem for UKBA to take out the money correctly due to the reason that the debit card is not registered in new address where the applicant is living and sending the application. Since the payment section does not ask about the debit card registration address?

The owner and address of the credit card that is paying for the application is not relevant; it just needs to be correct. If you needed someone in China to pay for your application in the UK you would simply provide their name, address and card number in the payment fields. It's completely separate to who is actually making the application.

thanks for your reply. so it means in payment section simply give the debit/credit card details and the address is not important for ukba as where the card is actually registered to take out application fee?

Does writing issue number of debit card which is like two digits e.g 03 is mandatory while paying to UKBA in postal application apart of other card details such as card number, issue & expiry date, three digits security code.

If the verification requires an issue number and your type of card has one, then yes it has to be given. If you don't, the bank can reject the payment.

Thanks. And while writing the 16 digits of debit card in payment section then whether giving space after each 4 digits is wise or writing the 16 long digits without space is better??
