changing EU itizen by irish citizenship

HI all.
should anyone aware of this issue please inform me.
my wife is EU ( Latvian citizen) and she would like to obtain an irish citizenship.
She legally resides in Ireland nearly 1 year and all her children are EU citizens (one of them is irish).

Please let me know, can she obtain Irish citizenship and if yes, how long does it take and what is necessary for her to be granted.

EU citizens can apply for Irish citizenship if they can prove that they were living in the Irish republic for 5 years and exercise the treaty rights. As your wife is residing in the state for only 1 years, she have to wait for another four years.
