The visa guideline changes, it is best that you read the process which is all detailed on UKVI website.

i wud advice u that afta u complete all docs for ur spouse and son ,before applying make sure u see an immigration specialist and show them ur case that u got everything, cos trust me u miss one single important document they ll make u wait for so many months and in the end they ll punish u wiv refusal

As per my experience I advise all of u that don't believe their emails cz in my case I email in August they replied dt ur case is under process I replied again dt it's been 11 months hw long ur process will take thn they replied decision on ur application is delayed whilst further inquiries r conducted same day I sent an email to thm dt y it's delayed they replied v need additional documents and guess v already submitted additional documents 3 months ago they Neva replied again. So my sincere advise is to call thm they give correct info on phone. Cz whn my husband called thm they said in week we will contact ur wife for RFC and they did in two days.

What does this message mean?

"The Visa Application for GWF Ref "" was forwaded to UK VIsas and Immigration.

My spouse got this text. Does this mean visa is about to be granted?

Salaam everyone
Sorry for the late response, my husband went to collect passport today and they were very uncooperative.. Firstly my husband was refused because of financial requirements and that they did not rcv additional documents which is clearly a lie stating they acknowledged them my husband asked for the return of these documents they stated they dont have them.. They told him they were returning passport wothout any reason it wasnt until he got home he seen the refusal... Me nd my husband r grateful to allah for this decision alhumdullilah settling in uk wasnt in our kismet.. Nd weve realised allah does everythinh for the best cus he has better plans for us.. I am thankful to allah that he has given us priveledges in life to both me and my in laws.. In two weeks i will b leaving the uk and emigrating this is how i lived before. I applied for uk visa to b close to my family even though my spouse objected. Once again i am grateful to ALLAH for guiding me onto the right step without him we would have nothing.. Jazakallah to everyone for ur support we will not be appealing or reapplying we made the biggest mistake applying in the first place and wasting two years but it meant to be i am praying for u all :-)

They only asked for more pay slips in the letter they sent and said that we will make decision after we get those pay slips until thn ur case will remain on hold I was expecting baby at that time and my husband came to pak whn v received that letter so he sent an email to thm that right nw I'm in Pakistan so soon I go bak to uk I'll sent all the slips u asked for they replied that it's ok we can take time. My husband sent all the papers after dt I got acknowledgement letter after week from thm dt v received ur additional documents. If I wud nt have asked thm they wud have Neva replied to me about my status cz whn I email thm in August they were still unaware that they received our documents. That clearly mean that they dint bother to look at our additional documents and at last made stupid reason to refuse.

Sarah786 and Tabz, were any of you self employed?

Also, how many payslips did you include and what was the reason for them asking for additional payslips?

Did they ask for more payslips because some of them were missing or because you were below income threshold of £18,600 or was it because they didn't match up with bank statements and so on?

Thanks
