Bank statements

My friend is applying for a visa and being sponsored by my parents, he has made his online application however, we have just though of his bank statement. It shows his salary going in like we said however, he has extra sums of money going in from extras from his work (as he is a entertainer and sells bingo Ect.) and also he put 2000 lira in his bank in June as he sold a games console but has spent that money since, should we explain this money just to be sure?
