Minister Fitzgerald announces major immigration civilianisation initiative

Frances Fitzgerald T.D, Minister for Justice and Equality, has today announced a major programme to civilianise immigration functions currently undertaken by members of An Garda Síochána. The Minister made the announcement while visiting the immigration control facilities at Dublin Airport. Read the Ministers Press Release.

well.. that will take longer now as the new civil servants have no idea how to process or continue processing and will act as a "middle man" exactly like the new driving license! it takes now 3 weeks min to get driving license, while it used to be issued on spot when it was in county council!
I'm officially diagnosed with INIS "processing" phobia
