Out of UK Tier 1(Gen) Dependent visa fees payment from UK

Hello everyone,

I am not sure if this has come up but I am about to apply for my wife's Tier 1 General Dependent visa and will be completing the online form myself. I want to know if I can pay for the visa myself using UK account/cards or she has to do it out of her own funds/cards/bank account in India.

It might be very simple but I don't know and search results either come up with payment fubars or DD or card payment type questions.

I don't think there is need to pay by 'the person' as long as they get the money.
More so as 'dependent' by word may means that.

Never heard a case otherwise till yet.

Thanks t1s2010. I decided to go to the payment options screen and risk it and was able to pay using my UK debit card and everything went through fine and quickly. Only thing is on return from payment to UKBA website, it logged me out and showed a Done button. I logged back in and payment was done and I was able to continue.
