Tier1 General Migrant Funds Maintenance

Post by UpendraBestha » Mon Sep 15, 2014 5:15 pm

Hi;

I have been in UK for more than 3 years and my dependants ( Wife & Son) joined me in Jan 2014 only , i.e., less than a year.
I am planning to go for visa extension in the month of December 2014.

Can I request you to share the information on the Funds Maintenance for three of us, please.

This is what I am thinking that I should maintain funds for 90 days.

Main Applicant: £945
Wife: £630
Son: £630

and in Total, it should be £2205. Kindly correct me if I am wrong on this.

Regards,
Uppu.

Thanks Mallik for your reply.

But I just saw this information in the Tier1 Dependant Policy Guidance Document, which is bit confusing for me.

I have been in UK for 3 Years and My family( Wife and Son) joined only in the Jan 2014. Should I maintain £1890 per person? Please clarify me.

"
46. If the Tier 1 Migrant has been in the United Kingdom for 12 months or more, you must have £630 to support yourself.

47. For example, the Tier 1 Migrant has been in the UK for 6 months and is making an application
PBS (Dep) Guidance (version 07/2014) - page 9
PBS (Dependant) POLICY GUIDAN CE
at the same time as their spouse and two children. They must show that they have £1890 for their spouse and a further £1890 for each child, in addition to £945 required for their own support. In total the family will require evidence that they hold £6615 in available funds (£1890 x 3 = £5670+£945). "

Kind Regards,
UB.

No if main applicant is in UK less then one year than this rule applied but you are here since 3 years so it does not apply on you.

Thanks Mallik but I came back again with one more query, infact with doubt.

Do you mean that even though the dependants in UK are less than a year, I ( Main Applicant ) can still maintain funds £2205 for 3 of us. Can I request you to point me to the Link in UKBA where this is stated clearly.

Main Applicant: £945
Wife: £630
Son: £630

My Concern is that I have been maintaing funds from August Till 15th October is £3000 only and from 16th October, I have been maintaing £6000 but planning to go for Visa Extension by end of November 2014.

Can I request to clarify me again on this, please. Apologies if caused any inconvenience for the repeated question.

Thanks
Upendra.
