HSMP Tier 1 extension - Before a new passport or After

Hi All,

There are 2 things that I need to do in the coming months.
1. Get a new passport (Indian citizen) since the pages on my passport are almost going to be full (just 2 pages remaining).
2. Get the HSMP Tier 1 extension done - still another 6 months to go.

Can any one suggest what should be done earlier. Should I go for a new passport first of get the extension done and then go in for a new passport ?
Also if I go for a new passport in either of the situations, will I have to fill in another form for getting the HSMP extension (the Bio metric card) linked to the new passport ?

Any help or pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Kumar,

Get your new passport and then go for Tier-1 extension.

Yes the BRP card will be linked to your new passport.
