oh! did you send it to secretary of Alan Shatter?! you need to send it to citizenship email (citizenshipinfo@justice.ie).. they usually respond within max 2 days.

Update: by the way, you mentioned that you applied through a lawyer, so most probably they update him (or he should follow up)..

if the garda report came before your seat belt fine, then you are lucky! otherwise it may cause delays

@ banana07 I did not E-mail the secretary. I e-mailed INIS, but the person that replied me signature was the private secretary.

Here's the contact details for the minister's office, from the Justice website:

Minister's Office and Secretary General's Office 94 St. Stephen's Green, Dublin 2

GPS Coordinates:
53°20′14″N 6°15′41″W

Phone: + 353 1 602-8202
Lo-Call*: 1890 221-227
Fax: + 353 1 661-5461
Website: www.justice.ie
E-mail: info@justice.ie

If you mail them, they will likely forward it on to the citizenship section email address for an answer, though

ah the lady on the phone.. the one who snaps and pretty much say "do NOT call us" :-) typical public servants

we havent heard any update from the members here, so it might be they are not processing anything until after the ceremony at least? - anybody here with an update, please share with us :)

I asked when they expect the decision or when was it sent as the last time I called I got the same answer its in final stages. They said they don't know when it was sent and when will the decision come.

@ banana 07.... I also ring them on Thursday . The lady said to me that my application look good that they almost done with the process, they will send me a letter as soon as possible. She also mentioned that we have gotten all documents we need, we do not need anything from u anymore.

Does it mean all this while she told me they were deciding on my file, could that be a good positive sign ? And when r they likely to start sending approval letters?

that means its ready now for final signature from Minister.. its a matter of time when Francis get the time to sign on your application based on the overview report.. so saying "good" means its a defo an APPROVED signature..

On what basis you have applied and whats you timeline?

@ banana 07... I Applied based on 5 years residency. I have applied before in 2012, then I was refused because, I was having a suspended sentence in the state which just finished in May this year. Moreover, in my refusing letter last year, the Minister said why dint I disclosed my previous conviction in the state in my application form? Before my solicitor now advised me to re-applied in June this year which I did. My greatest surprised is that my application was so fast this time within the space of a month I got my first and second letters. Before I now decided to ring them to update me, and the lady told me that all is good that they don't need anything from me anymore, they will get in touch with me soon.
