Does DOJ accept online (e-statements) Bank Statements ?

Post by CalvinKlien » Thu Sep 18, 2014 7:52 am

Hi All,

I have a quick question in relation to AIB e-statements.

I want to apply for a visit visa for my parents from Pakistan and I have AIB Bank e-statements (which means I would be printing them from my printer). In other words they would not be sent by the bank by post.

Does DOJ accepts e-statements ? OR do they require bank statements sent by the bank by post ?

The only difference in the AIB e-statements and the one sent by post is below:

AIB e-statements (which you can print at home): You cannot print them in colour format. They would be black & white.

AIB statements sent by post by the bank: They would be in colour format.

Please advise and thanks in advance.

We used e-statements for our citizenship app. No problems there. In todays paperless world, it seems only right. Good luck.

@ thepiratequeen
Thanks for the prompt reply. Actually u have used the e-statements in Ireland for your naturalization and using them in Ireland is not a problem.

In Pakistan we have a small Irish Consulate and wondering would they accept the black & white e-statements ? Does any one have experience using e-statements outside of Ireland in any Irish Embassy ?

Thanks

My husband did,as long as it has Ur name and address clearly shown. If u're in serious doubt,it would be better to request for statement thru the ATM and it should be with u in 3 days top. If u request for a statement that has a huge transaction be sent, the bank won't send it in colour,it would be in black and white. So,the online version would be way better as it would be in colour print. MUST clearly show ur name and address.

Used AIB bank e-statements from India and the visa was processed successfully. For piece of mind, you may get a few prints from the AIB bank machines (which are placed inside the bank and not the ATM).
