Visit visa 6 months statement or less can work?

Hi All

Hoping to get an answer from someone here regarding a simple query.

My brother moved to Ireland 2 months ago. He's working as a doctor and now willing to visit us in London. But the visa requirement for funds says that he should provide 6 months bank statement. But in his case, its only 2 months bank statement till now.

Query: Can he still apply for a visit visa to UK in case he still does not have a 6 months bank statement?

Any help will be much appreciated

Well there is no British embassy in Dublin any more. Visa applications are submitted in the consulate here in dublin and the docs will be sent to home office and to be honest they will be looking for 6 months bank statement but on the positive site, he is a doc and that would be plus point. in my point of view 2 months bank statement wouldn't be a prob.

I dont think its a problem. He arrived here just 2months ago, how can he have 6 months statement. Just go ahead with application.

Six months is a suggestion rather than a mandate. The overall circumstances of the applicant are reviewed and if no evidence of a risk to immigration is found, the visa will be granted. I can't see how a doctor working in an EEA Member state, who provides good evidence of his social and economic ties to that state, would be refused.
