Tier 4 extension in uk - interview questions

I have received only 1 letter that was interview letter along with reply form which I have to sign n send them back it was basically confirmation whether u r attending interview on tht given date or not ......

It's been a week after interview still waiting for visa ......

but m worried abbt myy dependent visa bcoz i received all my doocuments and passport but did not get his passport...... i knw brp will take 7 to 10 days but m worried bcoz they did nnt send his passport ........ so what does this mean ((((

I don't have any idea about the delayed dependant passport, but I know somebody from my college her dependent's passport was came back after six months, but I hope this will not be the case with you.

I didn't hear anything form HO, No interview No contact, I've submitted my docs 1st of August. Some of my mates chose premium service more than a month ago but still have not got the VISA.

fnally got my brp today ....... but the worst thing is didnt get anything for my dependent yet....... waiting for dependent visa ......... dnt knw how these ppl r working .......

i applied for tier 4 visa and got it within 1 week after my interviiew but the wierd thing is they diid nt sennd anything for my dependent .... no passport no rejection letter nothing .... its been almost 3 weeks m waiting....

previously i was on psw and he was my dependent and now i got admission in a highly trusted colg .. m scared bcoz other ukvi r doing different things with ppl ...... in my class 4 ppl got visa and their dependent get visa with working rights..... one's dependent got visa but without working right...... and ppl like me who r still waiting for their dependents....... if there is a rule like privte colgs dependent cant get visa then how come ukvi gave visa to few ppl's dependent ......

i dnt understand what shall i do now...... can anyone suggests me something....

right now m doing cima ..... shall i swiitch to phd (now no appeal right frm here scared me most) or tier 2 ......

anyone suggest anytihng plz?????

@SHa i got the same circumstances as yours my interview is due on 3rd march 2015 i have also applied for extension to re-submit my dissertation. Did u got your visa ? My re-submission is due in april 2015 and my previous visa expired on 31 jan 2015. I applied for visa on 22nd jan 2015 and now going for interview. my cas states the end date of course is 21 april 2015 and start date is 31 jan 2015. Please reply

Hi Billi;

Yes I got my visa !! It is a Skype interview and straight forward. You need to get ready with history of your UK immigration include what you have done in every year and archived.

What is your current course, modules, name of uni, where about, why you select that uni and ur course, what you will do after end of this programe.

What is your future plan, where you staying, any p/t job , hours u work,

Who is paying for ur expenses ,

Don't worry just make sure u ready for those types of questions and will take 20 miniutes.

These interviews becomes more common with listed countries (Asia, African )

Let me know any thing you want to know and go at least 15 mits before. Update me the progress and all the best!

Ok i will let you know .... Last thing what will be the visa duration in my case will it be a 3 months visa or 6 month ?? As i am re-submitting my dissertation i got the same circumstances as yours..... will it be till april or 3 months beyond my submission date..

if your course is less than six months, than you will get only 7 days extra after the end of the course.
so for example if your course end on the 5th of April 2015, add 7 days, which means your leave will expire on the 12th of April 2015.

moreover for dissertation re-submissions i have also heard many people saying that they got refused because the dissertation could be done and submitted from back home. i hope this does not happen in your case, but it does happen.

if you plan or wish to stay your extend then you must be looking for another course during your dissertation writing.

Bcz normally dissertation resubmission normally require three months and i have heard if re-submission period is less than 6 motnhs Visa will be 7 days beyond your submission date. What happened in your case pls guide.

Hi, my situation is bit different and has to do my research another six months and I got visa for 6 months. It s all depend on ur CAS letter; if it is shows, 3 months, then don't expect extra time, bcs all depend on ukba! But they should gives exactly to the cas letter...

it does not depend on the UKBA to give you extra time but there is specific guideline for the extra time which you will get.

it depends on the duration of the course.

I have attended the interviews too. my situation is that i am starting a master degree here and feel confused why home office require me for interview. As my educational consultant here said it is supposed not neccessary to attend the interview if you are from " low risk countries". but i was also told it is the normal procedure. anyways, thanks to the information people here provided, the interviewer asked the questions which were exactly the same as the questions listed here.

I just wanna say, there is nothing you need to worry about guys if what you said is truth and didnt hide anything, no way they gonna reject you. be natural and calm.
they are friendly by the ways.
