Immigration Act commencement and statement of changes in Immigration Rules

The Tier 1 (Investor) route is being reformed following recommendations from the Migration Advisory Committee. The minimum investment threshold will be raised from £1m to £2m.
If you still want to apply under the current rules, you need to do so by 6 November 2014

Statement of Changes have now been published. Here are the highlights:

- New threshold of £2 million

· Effective for new applications made from 6 November 2014

· 100% of the funds must be invested (no longer a 75%/25%)

· The topping up provision is being removed

· Loaned funds are no longer permitted
