can I continue my Employment after entrepreneur application?

Post by PKBD » Fri Oct 17, 2014 6:10 am

Hello all
urgent help needed please. ..
I am working part time(on N.I) for my current employer since I made tier 1 entrepreneur visa application. I have also signed my business contract with my same employer for a minimum for 15 hrs in a week.
Can I continue my job, or leave it.

On my current PSW visa (although it is expired now but my application is pending) I can work and do business both at tge same time that's why I am still continuing my current job.

BUT now one of my friend told me you can't work (take employment) after when you have applied for Tier1 entrepreneur visa. My interview is in next week and they ask a question in interview about employment...what should I do now .... shall I resign before interview? Does tgis make sense?

Please advice. ..
Thanks

Hi PKBD,

Doing job during process is legal but does not give good imperession to case worker , you status will stil remain the same of PSW time until u get visa...In your case working with same employer who is also your contractor so i think its very negative, hence my suggestion is better to leave that job before you go for interview.

One thing may i know please that at what date did you receive exceptionally complex letter?

Thanks in advance.
wish you good luck for interview. pls dont forget to share your interview questions here pls.
Best Regards

Rockey

Hi Rockey

Thanks for your advice. I didn't any letter saying your case exceptionally complex, rather I received interview letter. First a letter telling me you will be invited for interview the second letter confirms the date. I will update the forum after interview next week.
Thanks

Hi PKBD,

it's depend on when did u start trading or register your business. If u have started before 11th July then u can legally do job. That's what my understanding about new change came on 11th July by Home Office.
Please update abut your interview. All d very best for it.

Where did you get that ????????
As I understand, HO considers you to be on the default visa while your application is being processed.
