Life in the UK test guide updates

Are the Life in the UK test study materials updated annually? I'm looking to sit the test in the new year, but would like to use a friend's (post-2013) guide to save buying a new one. Is it likely to be still relevant? Or will they be publishing a "2015" edition?

Book the test and start with the 2013 edition.
If before the test you see that there a new edition then buy it. It is not that expensive. And what you learned already is still good. UK history does not change that often. They need to update it to put the year of death of Margaret Thatcher and to get money from us.

By the way low cost books are available on ebay as well
