Need Help - Transiting through Canada from US on a UK passp

Post by ash14297 » Tue Oct 21, 2014 10:51 pm

Hi all,

New to the forum but needing some help. I am currently a UK Citizen living in the United States on an L1A work visa.

Next year I am travelling back to the UK but not directly from the US. My planned itinerary is Los Angeles - Vancouver with a one night stay, then Vancouver to London the following day (same on the return journey).

I am travelling on my UK passport, so my question is whether I need any kind of Visa for entry into Canada? I can't seem to find a definitive answer online.

Thanks!

You do not need a pre-applied visa to enter Canada for a period of less than 6 months. Visa will be issued on arrival.
