Glasgow PEO experience - saturday, 18 Oct

Post by abhisheks9 » Tue Oct 21, 2014 7:50 am

Originally Booked for 25th October for just myself, for second extension for tier-1(General)
Got call 10 days before that UKBA will be closed on 25th so i pre-ponded it for 18th, at 13:00 on same call

Went to Service Center at 11:45. this was my first same day exp, so thought reaching early might be good idea, but now i know its not so.
Being Saturday, things were moving slow, as either staff were less or applicants were more.
Waited for 13:00 and asked an officer who gave me ticket number.

-called for case registration at 13:15, submitted all documents and xerox copies.

- called for biometric enrollment at 13:45, who the asked me to wait for 45 mins, OR gave me option to go out and come back later after 45 mins.

I waited for almost 3 hrs, when called at counter who approved my case and asked me to confirm visa details like name, address etc.

surprisingly he stamped/cancelled my original Visa (entry clearance) with something like Leave overriden by BRP ? something not happened at time of my first extension?

Still awaiting BRP to come by POST

after that day i was wondering if i should have better gone for postal route considering how fast postal is now, something even fellow applicant there in center agreed.

PS: i will now jump to ILR forum & concentrate on ILR, which is still 2 yrs long wait :(

Please tell me how many years you got and what was the date of your first Tier 1 visa date? However, new rules in place I would expect every one would get 3-5 years of extensions by 20 Oct 2014. Thanks

@jonbca
hahaha :lol: i am sure Govan office is nicest among all PEO, based on testimonies of other applicants and less crowdy than Croydon
all staff were friendly at least to me
