Main applicant apply ILR on 10 year and wife visa

Post by hham1224 » Tue Oct 21, 2014 8:12 pm

Just want to ask a quick question. My friend is applying soon for the ILR and his wife [currently on Tier 1 PSW dependent, here in the UK for 2.5 years] is here in the UK.

Both of their visas are expiring end of this month.

My understanding is that he has to apply for ILR and wife FLR. Does he need to show £18k job and what will be the financial requirement.

Any other factors need to be taken in to account?

Yes. Financial (£18,600) requirements for FLR(M) under the 5-year route, A1 English, etc.

Thanks Vinny for your response.

He lost his job on 1 July 2014 as he was appealing against his visa refusal, the employer didnt understand the complex HO rules that until his visa is decided he has right to work.

Now his P45 shows circa £10000 for three month i.e. 6 Apr 14 - 30 June 2014. He was on £35000 before.

What will be his situation for his partner when he apply for ILR in December 2014? [Both will apply at the same time and withdraw appeal afterwards when 10 years are completed]
