ILR Question-tier-1 dependent (son born in UK) Please help

Hi, My tier 1 is valid till 2016 but i will be eligible for ILR in August 2014. i have 2 dependents who also have depenent visa till 2016

My question
1) i was thinking to go for ILR for myself and my wife(PEO), And after getting my ILR, can i apply directly british citizenship for my son? (my son have visa till 2016 and he born in UK.)

2) And I have to travel to India soon, is it ok to take my son with me to india, with tier-1 dependent visa which is valid till 2016?
