web developer jobs in Ireland

Post by vijayande2014 » Sat Sep 20, 2014 6:24 pm

Hi All,

I am a web developer with 6 years of years in web development using Microsoft Technologies.

I would like to know job opportunities for the same in Ireland. Specially software web developers or any specific technology which are in Ireland's shortage/demand list.

I thank you for your time and consideration and look forward to hearing from someone to answer my query.

thanks
vijay

This is a forum related to immigration matters and NOT a job center. However, i will answer your query, there is no job shortage in Ireland in the area of software and web development. Some of the major mufti-national companies are here in Ireland and they are constantly looking for people with strong IT back ground.

If you have 6 years experience in web development, i would encourage you to apply for jobs online. If you are outside EU, your employer need to sponsor your green card and I am sure there should be no problem if you have the required skills.

Good Luck

thank you very much CalvinKlien, I am based out of "INDIA" and would like to work in "Ireland",since its not the right place to ask any further question related to jobs but since you had replied to my post just a simple question if non of the employer sponsor Green Card/Work Permit to me, is it possible to apply Green Card /Work Permit by myself.

if you don't mind could you please let me know the number one job portal of Ireland where most of the employers look for employees.

thanks once again for your reply.

First thing first, You cannot apply for the green card without an employer sponsorship.

Please find the below job portals in Ireland. Please make sure, you register your self on ALL of them and before you register make sure to tune your CV very well that should reflect your expertise.

Every day the jobs are revised on them so spend some time on them on daily bases and apply for jobs that suits your area of expertise. Any question do let me know and All the very best.

Hi CalvinKlien,

so nice of you, thank you very much for giving all those job portal links, one more humble request to you would you be able to review my CV once because the current CV which I had is in INDIAN format and I don't know the format of IRELAND CV.

Hence it would be great, as well as help me a lot for my job search in Ireland if you can review my CV once and share your valuable comments.

Thanks once again for your time. Look forward to hear from you again.

Vijay, there is no such a thing as Indian and Irish CV format. There is ONLY one format which is called "Professional" format and that I can see in your CV.

Good Luck in ur job search and make sure u register your self and upload ur CV on the above job portals, also keep applying for jobs, u seems a talented guy and i am sure you will have no issue to get a job here.

All the best again....

thank you so much CalvinKlien, your comments gave me lot of positive energy, hope and belief that I am eligible to apply for overseas jobs and glad to know that my CV looks professional.

Now I can register myself on the job portals and keep applying for jobs.

Klien also wanted to know about the language employers generally look there, is it English or French or any other who are given
preference while applying for jobs.

thanks CalvinKlien for being so patient and keep replying to my posts.

Klien did you ever visit INDIA :)

thanks
Vijay

Hi CalvinKlien,

How are you? Just a simple question, while registering myself in the job portal "www.recruitireland.com" they are asking to select my current location which is 'INDIA' but in the list there was no such option, they only had options of Ireland towns/cities.

please advise what should I do now.

Thanks for your help.

Vijay

If India is not available as an option to register yourself, just select Ireland/Dublin and your CV will reflect that you are actually not in Ireland but in India.

Good Luck....

Hi Calvin,

how are you ? hope you are doing good, I had one more question while registering myself on few job portals like (careerjet.ie, computerjobs.ie) they are asking for "Ireland" address and it is mandatory. How do I register in such portals where they look for "Ireland/Dublin" address.

please advise.

Thanking you

Hi Vijay,

That's really a good news that u r getting response. Just tell them u r an Indian national and you would need a green card from the company that is interested to hire you.

You can get more info about Green card on the below link:

thanks for the link Calvin.

I would say this is all because of your help and support I am able to receive E-mails and phone calls from Employers in Dublin, thank you very much Calvin, but Calvin do you really think Employers in Dublin would be ready to provide me with Green Card, I mean did you see any such Employer who are ready to provide Green Card for an immigrant and hire him.

thank you for your advise.

Ireland is starving for IT professional and if you are an individual with the right skills, why would a company not offer you green card. End of the day a company only need to write a sponsorship letter and nothing else. When u arrive here you will be paying tax to the Irish state from day one in ur salary.

Yes, in an ideal world companies like to hire someone who is local and have no hassle with visa but in ur case try to be good in the interview, try to impress them with your skills and don't promise them that you will develop a rocket in 3 months :)

Just be confident and tell them if you need me u need to sponsor me.

All the best

Hi Calvin,

Good Morning

what ever you said looks fine but Calvin what I feel is, it will be hard to get a sponsorship. so what I was thinking is, is it fine to come there to study for an year and find a job? what do u say ? whatever I was thinking is it a good approach you would say or not required for a person like me.

please advise.

Thanks Calvin.

One of the company is ready to provide job offer. Is there any other procedure for the visa application or is it just job offer enough for the Irish Green Card visa ?

What is the nature of the job ? Is it IT related ? If yes what is the title of your job ? The job title should reside within the short skill list.

Plus there should be 2 years full time contract and your salary should be 27K atleast.
