Deed Poll

Has anyone of you changed name by deed poll?
Technically I know how to do that.
But there is only one problem: cost.
I rang few solicitors in Dublin. They want at least 250-300 euro.
Is it really that expensive?
For me it looks like – they (lawyers) charge a lot of money just for nothing.

Maybe someone knows cheaper lawyer(s) in Dublin?

Any advice really appreciates.

€250 to €300 is, I presume, inclusive of VAT.

If so, that amount of money is not expensive. there is a fair bit of work in getting the paperwork right.
