app 4 non EU was 2 month during last 6 month

Hi ,

My husband will apply for citizenship in few week time ( as a spouse to Irish citizen) he was outside the country for 2 month in the summer with his family back home .... is it ok to apply now being outside the country for that length will affect his application ?

in the application it says if you spent more than 6 weeks in total in any year outside ireland, fill the box with the reason.. all what you have to say that it was a family visit and as the home country is sooo far, it makes better economic sense to stay longer etc..

the only reason they check the 6 weeks is to make sure to eliminate applications from ppl who spend pretty much all 5 years outside ireland and only came for stamp/visa renewal etc..

your husband is totally fine! dont worry
