I have got a refund from HMRC for the excess tax I paid. Amount was circa 4k & put back in to my personal account.
Do I need to mention that in my Tier 1 (General) extension form and put a tick against section N.2- Working Tax Credit?
No
Is it the same thing or am I thinking in the wrong direction.
working tax credit is different
I have heard from one of my mates where his solictor advised him not to take any refunds from HMRC until he gets his ILR. Monies can be refunded post ILR for excess tax paid.
No this is not correct if HMRC deduct excess tax by given you wrong tax code than you are entitled to claim back without any problem.
It doesn't effect your ILR
How does this make a difference on the application?
nothing
Not sure if this has been previously answered. Gurus pls advice?
Thanks
