Ireland and uk are not part of schengen hence if you are visa required national then you need shengen c class visa to all eu countries and uk c class visa for uk islands.. Welcome to island mentality.. Travel within eu from ireland is not as easy as you think

hello everyone im from india and need info regarding the visa which will of great help fro me.my query is my friend finished his masters in ireland in the year 2011 since then he has been staying there.he is on stamp1 so far which is due to expiring in 4months time.he has appiled for stamp 4.how long will it take for him to get it if he has applied it 4months prior to the expiry date.his income is 40keuros per annum.its almost 7years hes been there including his masters 1)can we apply prior to the expiry of the existing stamp if yes how long will it take for renewal
