5 years calcualtion

Post by Senonthachil » Fri Dec 19, 2014 2:26 pm

Hello All

My first grand of T1 General visa from May 1st, 2010. However my visa was approved on 15th March 2010, which puts me in the group prior to April 2010 rule changes.
I have my first extension approved last May 2013 expires 2015 May 1st.

I came to UK on EC by 22nd May 2015, and by May 1st next year (2015) i will complete 5 years - 21 days.
With teh information i have gathered over time convinces me that this is fine, but would this really be a problem at the time of ILR next year?

How early I can apply for the ILR considering late arrival on the visa starting date

Thanks in advance

Immigration Board helped me all the way to make my appication on 19th March 2010 and living in Uk since then!

If your entry into UK was within 90 days concessions period than you can apply for ILR 28 days prior to complete 5 years
Your 5 years calculation starts from 1st visa stamp date in that case.
But If you enter after 90 days concessions time than you entry date will be considered for calculating 5 years.
