200k funding

Post by mahek » Fri Jan 02, 2015 9:38 am

For the 200k funding is it okay to show your fixed deposit for maintenance funds or your dad's account with a declaration from him?

Also , can someone please suggest some good immigration lawyers to help with this?

Mahek,

You should first thoroughly read the UK Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) Visa policy guidance.

The 200K and the maintenance fund MUST be in liquid form in a current/savings account. You can't show fixed deposits or mutual funds or bonds, etc.

Yes, you could show a third party declaration from your father or brother or anyone else, but if I were you and the money was from my dad/sibling I would get the money into my account (much better than a declaration) or at least get into a joint account with that relative.

I am in the process of applying from India (200K route) and if you need further info, please feel free to contact me at krishna9780@hotmail.com. I can share my experience thus far.
