Running workshops in the US

Post by saraedwards » Sat Jan 10, 2015 11:26 am

Hello everybody

I'm a yoga teacher, and have my own business in the UK. I run weekly classes and weekend workshops, as well as occasional retreats in Europe. My tax responsibility is solely in the UK. I have recently met some Americans at my classes, and they have suggested running some workshops in the States (a few times a year, 4-10 days in length, depending on interest). I've tried looking at visas and things, but I can't really make much sense of it… I was wondering if anybody knew if such a set up is possible; ie, if I can get some kind of visa that will allow me to run a workshop in the US a few times a year. Obviously, I'd expect to pay any tax necessary to the US.

Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions!

Sara
