Post by micz8 » Sun Mar 08, 2015 5:15 pm

Hi

I am due to apply for ILR on basis 5 years on Tier 1 General.

My absences in these 5 years are as below:

Year 1 22/06/2014 - 21/06/2015 24 Days
Year 2 22/06/2013 - 21/06/2014 20 Days
Year 3 22/06/2012 - 21/06/2013 37 Days
Year 4 22/06/2011 - 21/06/2012 125 Days
Year 5 22/06/2010 - 21/06/2011 110 Days

I request for some urgent advice from experts on this board please as to reason that I am worried about these absences especially in year 4 and year 5.

I dont know what to say in my application for these absences.

You are allowed a max of 180 days in each year of the 5years

I however Advice you to have a letter from employer (or your letter on the business letterhead if you are self-employed) explaining the reason for absence substatiating with some proof (like medical bills which has correlating dates).
Absences less than 180 days are usually disregarded during the application. Usually UKBA at PEO do not even bother to ask if the per year absnce is less than 180.
