ILR-County Court Judgements

Post by futurelinks » Mon Nov 16, 2009 8:28 pm

Hi All,
I have applied for ILR on the basis of 10 years long residency. I had a county court's judgement in default registered agains me. Would it affect my application?

Futurelinks, I wonder why there has been no response to this thread.

I am in a similar position. I forgot to mention a couple of CCJ's on my application for ILR under the 10 year long residence rules.
The reason was that I thought that section relates only to criminal convictions.

After reading this thread, I have gone back to the application form and, bugger, it does say 'criminal and/or civil judgements'!
Can anybody offer any advice please?

If you had already applied I will suggest you write a letter as a joiner to your application and stating the oversight of the particular paragraph after apologising for your error and then hoping that everything will be ok. Especially if they all spent judgements, it should be positive.

Good luck guys!

Thanks for your response Iyanu. That sounds a good idea but what about the fact that my application has been there for about 20 weeks now and looking at their timescales, it may already be with a caseworker.
