@wishmaster Hey, Recently i have read too many post and came to know that you got your ILR application matter done by your MP. Can you tell me that how did you contact with him and how many days he took in getting your issue solved.A detailed reply will be appreciated....I am suffering at that moment because home office has taken 8 months and i am still waiting.
Anyone can reply this post who have gone through from the same situation which i am explaining here.

Application type: SET(O) ILR
Category: Tier (1) Entrepreneur, 5 years
Application sent: 25 SEP 2014
Confirmation: 30 SEP 2014
Approval: 21 JAN 2015 (dated 19 JAN 2015)
BRP: waiting

NB: Mine will no doubt have been a slightly complex case, as I have had issues in the past (refusals just about every step of the way, followed by allowances after some back-and-forth). Judging by Tier1Aus submitting 10 days ahead of me on exactly the same ILR and (hopefully) straightforward circumstances, it looks like they really do just process them one after another - i.e. didn't put me in the "too hard basket".

Good luck to all - especially fellow 5-yr route Tier1 Entrepreneurs - our vintage was the best ;)

Hello Members,

I have applied on 1st Dec 2014.

I am very stressed and confused now. I thought my case will be straight forward but after reading some of the comments from other members I am very depressed.

My Immigration History is as follows:

Entered in the UK 21st Dec 2004

Was student Till August 2010

PSW : September 2010 - Sept 2012

Applied for Tier 1 Entrepreneur in September 2012 got refusal in March 2013. Appeal with in a week time.

Had a Court hearing in September 2013. Judge allowed the appeal refunded the court fee and request the H.O to make a new decision.

Got my Visa in December 2013.

(((((Now my question is:
In December 2009 I did applied for student visa extension, In Feb 2010 the college got de- listed and H.O sent my application back in March 2010 not because of the college was de-listed. The cheque I submitted with the application wasn't signed so they asked me to use another payment method and send the application. I applied again with in 28 days with a different college and got the visa in June 2010.)))))))

Did this situation break my continuous period of 10 years? ???????????

Does anyone have or had a similar situation of the application returned as invalid in past but still got the ILR.

Your response will be much appreciated.

Let's hope your wait isn't long. We have been waiting nearly 11 months and husband was also interviewed in Liverpool. Each time we call up for an update they give us a standard reply saying it's still being processed. This is absolutely ridiculous.. We have had to cancel all plans for going abroad. Good Luck to you.

Re: ILR postal applications -ECAA 2 Turkish Businessperson

Post by sarf » Thu Jan 29, 2015 2:25 pm

Dear all,

I have started to read the posts on this forum since mid of Dec 2014 as I got stressed with my application of ILR after completion of 4 years as a Turkish Businessperson.

First of all, I did submit all my documents myself and didn`t submit some of the docs which are not specifically mentioned on the HO website(but some solictiors stated to send more detailed docs). In my view, if you are applying through a solicitor or an agency they require a lot documents from you that might stress you out as you will post too much detailed paperwork even wasn`t required from you..But anyway, the middle-guys want to make sure no extra-workload for them and just cover all the individual corner in one go.

Chronology of my application process as follows:

02 Aug 2014 - submitted the application
05 Aug 2014 - received the acknowledgement letter
05 Aug 2014 -biometric p. process completed at a post office branch
23 Jan 2015- Phoned HO and was informed that my docs were posted to me and was provided a tracking number (second class signed for)
27 Jan 2015 - Received all the docs and stating that granted ILR(!!!happy days!!!)
Now waiting for BRP

My application process was completed in 5 months and 3 weeks..It was a stressful period but eventually good news arrived.
I wish all the applicants to receive their good news soon.

P.S: Be aware of that HO sends all docs via second class signed for option which takes 2-3 working days to arrive.

Happy days for all the forum readers/applicants of ILR

Yes, My husband was interviewed in August 2014.. He was told that he would hear in a month re outcome, as 6 months would then be up. However it had now been almost 6 months he had the interview and we are yet still waiting.

In total we have so far waited 11 months. There really isn't any consistency in how they deal with the cases. I'm disappointed with the system they use.

I highly regret taking the postal route. It hasn't proved beneficial to us in any way, infact it has prolonged things for us making it all a complicated process in obtaining ILR :( :( :(

Almost 11 months and still in the same boat...

Application submitted : 31/10/2014 (Royalmail special delivery)
Received by HO: 3/11/2014
Money taken from card: 4/11/2014
Received acknowledgement letter: 11/11/2014 (dated 4/11/2014)
Email acknowledgement: 20/11/2014
Received Biometric letter: 21/11/2014 (dated 18/11/2014)
Enrolled Biometric details: 21/11/2014
(And the waiting begins.)

I've just found out that I ticked the wrong column on the type of accommodation I live in. I rented from a private housing association but I ticked 'privately rented by you'. How will this affect my application? and how can I correct it? Does anyone have this experience?

Also, I'm self-employed. Are applications from self-employeds usually take longer than others?
The waiting is over! I received the approval letter and my documents back today!
It takes 3 months and 4 days in total, which is quite unexpected, considering I am self-employed.
Good luck to all.
