Hello

As long as you disclose it and do not hide. There should be no problem. They are very smart to find out these days about anything you do. Apply for ACCOMPANY SPOUSE VISA and see what happens. You will not know unless you apply and get over the fear of getting refused. They cannot refuse you entry unless it is a major crime. Best of luck

Hi,
Could someone guide me with his recent experience for spouse visa. My wife is in Pakistan. I got a job in Ireland. I myself have a British passport.

1. Do we need to do correspondence with Consulate in karachi or everything should be done via Gerrys?
2. How much time does it take to get the visa stamped after the application submission?
3. What are the supporting documents required?

Thanks

Hi
Thanks for the link. Yes I visited that and its quite useful. Few questions if someone could answer with personal experience

1. Website says it takes 6 months for visa processing. Does it really take so long? Any best case scenario someone knows about ? :)
2. I will start the job from 1st April. Do I need to wait for some salary slips or its not necessary?
3. Bank statment I could show for last 6 months from my non-Irish but European bank for last 6 months or so.
4. Could we track our visa case or talk to some office during the case for the feedback?

Looking forward to get information.

thanks

5. Will the Irish migration office require something from me? Any proof of residence etc. Or the process is just based from one side i.e. submit the application in Pakistan qnd No correspondence with me..

Hello
I submitted my brother case in december. Spouse is british but we applied a Join/accompany visa. This is the simplest and easiest way to get your spouse entry into ireland. We went through EU channel not the family one. because it is processed in 6 - 8 weeks and no need to submit your job documents or anything just marriage cert from Nadra and spouse EU passport.

we did go through gerry in islamabad.

I am still waiting on reply

My wifes was lodged on 29th dec 2014 and approved on 17th feb 2015.

Just wanted to know what the next move is?

Wait till the passport is returned to mirpur vfs and pick it up?

Also will the visa say 'join/acc spouse' specifically?

Wait for the passport it will take 10 working days to arrive back at VFS office .
then buy the ticket or you can buy now if you like but give it 10 to 15 days .
Visa dosnt say "join/acc spouse" , it only says Pakistan BC Spouse of Irish citizen.

My status says Approved Join/Acc EU Spouse
The question is that can I travel it without my spouse because it took too long to process the visa so she is in UK now and will be at the airport for me waiting outside. will they have any problem with that

thanks

Hi Ali

there will be no problem at all if she is at the airport witing for you, But keep her number and home address and marrige cert handy because officer at the entry will ask you for that, my wife came on 5th of feb and had no problem what so ever.

Hi Ali

She got D visa , they never called me on the entry she just told them he is outside waiting.only asked for my number and address and marrige cert. he should not have any problem as long as she is at the airport at the time of landing.

thank you Salman, I lived in Dublin for 5 years myself. GNIB is much better. You get questioned in the UK a lot by the immigration authorities specially when you come back from Pakistan

Thanks for that My visa got approved on the same date as yours when I checked on INIS but still no passport or email. I think I might email consulate in Karachi, I knew that they only get a copy in Dublin but since vfs has taken over i thought maybe the whole application pack goes to Dublin bypassing the consulate. thanks for your info

thanks exactly what you have said. Karachi just tell you to contact Gerry and Gerry does not have a clue what they do. They just send you the automatic email. I think i will try DOJ. how long did they take to reply back to you

Thanks

Emailed gerry's they said the applications are sent from Dublin back to Karachi and then Karachi give it to Gerry's and then they deliver it to the applicant in 24 -48 hours. so sent an email to Karachi. If they do not give me a satisfactory answer I will email DOJ

Thanks

Ali
