3 questions: petition city, timing, lawyer base

Post by Mark61 » Mon Feb 09, 2015 11:36 pm

Hello all,

I have 3 questions:

1) On my I-130 I am filing for my UK wife, I must report an old (2004) petition I made for my previous, now divorced wife: how can I determine, in what city a petition was filed if I lived in Denver, Colorado, USA when I filed? My ex-wife has the records and I am not sure she would answer my email.
2) I think the date of this filing was September, 2004. Is that enough or will USCIS kick it back to me if I only put the month on my I-130 Petition.
3) I am getting a lawyer for my new petition. Should I get this lawyer in: a) the town I was living in when I filed the petition in 2004 (Denver, Colorado), b) the town I am moving to in the US (Sacramento, CA), or c) the UK?

Thanks,

MD
