I second that its a matter of luck and i am praying that my application will be allocated to a caseworker soon.

I am loosing weight each and every day just being stressed by all this waiting for over a year now and with no idea when they will process your application its not fair though.

Some people they get a reply within 2 weeks and us i think its either bad luck or our cases are just too complicated.

This morning I received further 3 years discretionary leave. My first dl expired on 02/14,so I applied for further leave on 06/01/14, two weeks later they returned the supported documents,December 2014 I asked a mp to write a letter ,and ho reply the letter one month later, said the caseworker will process my application in 6 months time. And today morning I received it ,another 3 years.

I have been granted Discretionary Leave refusal asylum for 3 years due to my husband already settled down in here,I applied the new application Dl form by myself on 06/01/2014, the support documents were my husband passport and my daughter's which they returned on 22/01/2014. And I had heard nothing from h/o last year. My new dl started 10/02/2015 expired 10/02/2018. But I need to go to post office to do the fingerprint today,so I can get the BRP,good luck to all of you

Congratulations 'mm644'

Yours is good news, no more anxious waiting!!

Just wanted to raise some concern though. Your previous DL expired in Feb 2014, and after a whole year, they give you an extension from Feb 2015 to 2018...if we are meant to do six continous DL years.....am wondering if you will qualify for settlement in 2017 or 2018.

Congs...again

Hi

Just to answer your question , she will qualify to apply for indefinite leave in 2017 not 2018.

hope this helps

I am sure this month we are going to hear some good news from people getting their papers from H/O.

Hi Guys!!!

Sorry for being out of touch for a while. Just tried to take my mind out of this stupid UKBA waiting game & focused on my job & working...paying stupid high rate taxes.

Seems everybody here also got good news!!! Congrats for you all, esp. odat!

Just got good news myself from my solicitor on Fri! :D the extension was finally came through!

No more stupid waiting game!

As for the time scale:
1. Jan 2002 - came to the UK
2. Complicated time (2003 - 2010)
3. Sept 2010 - finally life was sorted; was granted DLR 3 years based on Art.8 [it took HO, 5 months to issue this!]
4. Sept 2013 - Leave expired; my legal rep submitted the app to extend my DLR, the HO didn't acknowledge my ext app at all! Had to contact MP in Oct 2013
5. Feb 2015 - heard nothing from UKBA unitl Feb this year, asking for update info of myself.
6. Fri 13th  Mar 2015 - out of the blue, my solicitor sent me an email to confirm the extension was granted till 2018 & the UKBA needs me to do biometric things at the local post office so that I will be sent the grant + card.
7. Hopefully, after this I should be able to get ILR by the end of this extension & get proper UK passport & no more UKBA!!!!! 8)

Good luck for people who still waiting!

Ps. My tip is...just ignore them, trying to live your life, study, work...etc. by the time you knew it, it's done!

Congratulations everyone !!!!!!! this is good news that more people are getting their extension now.

As for me i phoned H/O on friday and a lady told me that all applications will be processed by 19th April and that if i do not receive my extension i should phone them again.

I have been waiting since last year January.

Fingers crossed we will all hear good news.
