ILR Fees to increase from 6th April 2015?

Post by punitsurana » Tue Mar 03, 2015 8:10 pm

Hello,

I read about increase in ILR application fees(by almost 100%) starting 6th April 2015.
Is this correct?
If so, any idea what the revised fees is?

Thanks in advance,
Punit

ILR fee is going up by about 50% from (standard service) £1,093 to £1,500.
The fee for dependents (of non-armed services personnel) is rising £1,982 to £2,141.

Priority services are extra.

I booked an appointment when it come available a few weeks ago for ILR on the 8th April. I paid the current fee. Anyone have any experience to if the Home Office is going to ask for the additional £400 for the new fee on the date of the appointment?

Keano,

Not sure about fee, but there is a cash desk in PEO office which they should get it from you. but firstly make sure you are using the correct application form, if you are using the current application form and applying on April 8th they might reject the application as the new application would be in force from april 6th.

Cheers,

HO will always take the fees / application form valid on that particular date. So don't be surprised if you are asked to pay the difference on the day of your appointment.

@happy1982 - page 4 (or 3 of the schedules) middle of page, third row down on the left - Indefinite leave to enter or Indefinite leave to remain - section just above 'Immigration Documents'

£1500 + £400 for PEO service.

Indefinite leave to remain
£1,093 - current fee
£1,500 - proposed fee
£2,141 - maximum they can charge pp
You only look at the Indefinite Leave to Remain fee - there is no difference in fee if you are Tier 1 or spouse visa or Tier 2, it is the same ILR fee.

And then also Page 7 - Optional Premium Services

Application in person - £400

Ok,
It means when we will go on appointment day, we have to pay the difference there?

Hi,
Today I called Croydon customer services number to find about this. He said anyone who booked PEO before 6th april will not pay the difference in fee. It will be old fee even they are attending appointment after 6th april.
Well thanks everyone for their help and replies.

moto

Hi Happy,
Do you know which form should be filled in that situation after 6th April when appointment is booked before 6th April?

Old or new or doesn't matter?

Thanks,

HI,

I am also in the same situation. I'll be booking an appointment for late April 2015. It is clear from above discussion that we might not need to pay the difference of fee. Do we have clarity on the form version? I believe if new form version is available then we definitely need to use the new form. Old form would not suffice but if new form has got the new fee mentioned (which I believe would be the case) then what's going to happen? Anyone clear on this?

Just called the helpline and as per them, there is a transition period in place which will allow applications made before 6th April(irrespective of you getting slot before of after 6th April) will be processed via old fees.
I also asked her about the form and the transition applies to that as well. So whatever form is available currently should be treated as latest.
Never been so glad after calling HO :D :D

hi
I have a query if u guys help me out

What if some one apply by post on 2nd April 2015?

As 3rd is bank holiday. 4th and 5th is sat sun. and 6th is also bank holiday.

When HO will receive the post if send on 2nd april via next day special delivery?

Would they consider the date of posting as date of application (2nd april)?

or

They take the date of application when they receive it?

In specified form guidance they said take the date of posting (stamp mark on post) but if its not clear than take the date u receive it.

Any comments on this ?

Hi,

Do you mean to say that appointments taken before 6th April will be charged the old fees even if the application in person is made on say the 30th of April ?
If not (i.e. the new fees to be charged) then it contradicts what happy1982 has mentioned earlier as per his discussion with the PEO Croydon.
Please clarify.

Cheers !

Hello mate
i have just read both the posts again as per my understanding they both saying the same thing. If you book an online appointment before 6th of april for 30th April as example, you will pay the old fees.
