EEA1 prior to entering country in September and included photos of relationship and wedding, proof of 2 years cohabitation before our wedding, etc.

Applied EEA2 January 9th, 2015
Received COA within two weeks
Received passport and residence card February 21st dated the 19th.

Same-sex married couple (married July 2014), US and Polish. Supporting docs EEA2: marriage certificate, spouse's employment info, lease for our flat and a utility bill.

You are very lucky. I applied the same days as you for married partner. I am the wife Of the EEA national and i didn't get nothing. Even the COA.

Hey! Just wanted to let you guys know that my partner got his RC today. :D :D :D  :D

Here's the timeline:
(Self employed route, same sex marriage.)

Application sent: 9 dec 2014
Acknowledgement letter received: 18 dec 2014 (dated 11 dec 2014)
Confirmation Email received: 5 jan 2015
COA with right to work received: 5 jan 2015 (dated 31 dec 2014)
Asked for my passport (EEA national) back for a business trip: 12 jan 2015
EEA Passport received: 23 jan 2015 (exactly 10 working days after)
Documents received with RC: 4 march 2015 (RC issued on 25 feb 2015)

No calls, no interviews, nothing. I didn't include a letter from an accountant because I do my own accounting. I also didn't include any self assessment forms because I have yet to make one (mine's do next year). I did, however, include the letters HMRC sent me with my UTRn and my NIN, and also a couple of print outs of emails I got when I registered for online self assessment.

Other then that: personal bank account statements for 3 months, invoices that match the money going into the account, and a letter from my biggest client where I get most of my income from, stating that I work with them on a freelance basis and on an ongoing work relationship. I also included a printout of my portfolio (I'm a designer) just to tick the box with the whole "advertisement material" thing stating that I use it to get work. I sent a cover letter along with the application explaining everything regarding my business and why I wasn't including things like HMRC Self Assessments or NIN Contributions (I still haven't gotten a bill for NIN Contribution, I believe It's in april) and summarising what supporting documents I did include and why.

Hope this helps, and good look with your application! :D

Hi Everyone,

One week since i sent my application to the HO however they did not send me any letter of Acknowledgment, I called them and my application is still non existent on the system. Is this normal? i know its only been a week but... i find it a bit strange when most people here got a letter of acknowledgement in less than a week

I laugh at people showing their frustration who applied in October. I applied in July and no home visit or interview.
