Tier 4 Refused due to Maintenance.

Post by hassan5805 » Tue Mar 03, 2015 10:48 am

Hello Everyone.

I wonder if any of you can help ..

One my cousin Visa refused due to the shortage of maintenance. He should have £2840 in account but he only had £2540.
He got right of appeal and his first Tier Tribunal Hearing is on 31 March 2015.
He had one credit card limit of £3000 .
Hes not going through from lawyer. He going to apply himself.

My question is does that credit card will help?
Does anyone know any case which can help pleaee.

I will appreciate you guys.

Regards

182. The evidence of money that you use must be of cash funds in the bank (this includes savings accounts and current accounts even when notice must be given), as a loan letter or official financial or government sponsorship available to you. Other accounts or financial instruments such as shares, bonds, overdrafts, credit cards and pension funds are not acceptable, regardless of notice period.

i hope this will help your friend and i do not think he can win the appeal.

moreover one should keep in mind that the credit card money is not the holders money and it is from a bank. that credit card can be cancelled or reduced any time. however a funds held by the students in their own bank account is their own money and will not go anywhere unless spent by themselves.
