Looking to Start the process

Post by Luke810 » Thu Mar 05, 2015 6:31 pm

Hi I am new to the forums.

I am 20 and live at home with my parents. I have a relatively high income for my age because I am in a specialist trade. I repair printing equipment and photocopiers (so I work on office equipment) doing electronic and mechanical engineering and also IT.
I have many qualifications in Engineering and IT.

I am finding it very hard to find a sponsor and don't know really how to get one? Is there anyway of applying for a works visa without sponsorship and which one would that be whats involved?

I've got my english language test next month.

Presumably you mean that you want to start the process for a Tier 1 visa. That's no longer possible as this visa is effectively being discontinued. Anyway, from your background description, it sounds like you are doing pretty well where you are located. Your best decision is probably just to stick with that and build up your life there.

Thats not entirely accurate, the Tier 1 General visa route has been discontinied, which would have been the most ideal to come in and obtain a job in relevant field.

However you might want to explore other Tier 1 categories such as Entrepreneur, Exceptional Talent, and Investor categories, if you have business / partnership ideas for your specialist trade.
