Hi Lion, Your situation is rather complex and need professional intervention.
I am not a lawyer or neither am i an agent in immigration matter. I am only a human/refugee, Therefore i can understand your ordeal by knowing where you stands. There road to be here is not pave with silvers on golds....For many of us, it has been a very hard, long and sweaty journey which take a lot of will power. I hope that your situation will be highlighted and once ur a person of good character your case will be favored so that you can move on with your life.

Be strong and for the rest of your family and friends PEACE and LOVE

Lion2014, that's an unfair long wait. Keep pushing the MP for intervention. Stay strong

Hello friends,

Yesterday - 21.02.15 (Saturday), I received the Decision Letter (dated 20.02.15) confirming that my application for ILR has been approved for the whole family. Also there was a leaflet with notes for information. It was delivered by Royal Mail Signed For service. Together with those they have also returned our national passports and supporting documents that I provided with my application.

The letter says that I should receive the BRP cards within 7 working days by courier.

So basically it had taken almost 5 months for me to get the ILR from the date I posted my application.

As I am getting Working/Child Tax Credit and Housing Benefits, I was a bit worried whether that would reflect negatively on my application. Anyhow now it is quite clear that getting benefits won't affect your ILR (P) applications unless your visa includes the phrase "No recourse to public funds",

If you haven't done anything illegal or criminal I am sure all of you will finally get the ILR even if delayed.

Wish all the best for all of you and your families to re-start your lives in the UK with dignity and happiness.

Lion2014 wrote:Hi everyone,

I've been checking this post for more then a year now and finally decided to share my timeline.

Application Sent: 25 October 2013- Set (P) Route
Application Received by UKBA: 16 October 2013
Biometric Letter Received: 20 Dec 2013
Enrolled Biometrics: 21 Dec 2013
Approval Letter Received: God knows
BRP Card Received: God knows

The anniversary of my application would be in 8 days only :( since enrolling for Biometrics and after chasing up my application many times directly with UKBA and through my local MP I've been given a time frame by UKBA for end of August and again end of September for a decision but yet to receive a decision.

Sorry guys didn't meant to scare you, but just to put you in picture that some people waiting time is a year or even more. I didn't see anyone yet who have waited same as me.

What should I do? Probably nothing I can do!
Hi again,

Do you remember my post above? I need to inform you I'm still waiting. Almost 16 month of waiting. Now considering to ask the court for judicial review which will be initiated by sending the Home Office pre-action protocol judicial review letter. Any other suggestions please share with me?

For those of you who asked whether i had criminal convection, No I don't.

Do they not tell u the reason why it is taking so long?

Thanks "rkrai26"
If you applied in December 2014, certainly you'll get your ILR within April to May 2015.
I know the waiting time makes your mind restless. That is how even I felt.
Unless there is a serious breach of conditions, definitely your ILR will come.
So till then be strong and relaxed. Good luck.

Hi Doctor,
Congratulations in receiving your ilr.
I am assuming that now most applications take 20 -21 weeks. Comparing two of the latest ones.
Enjoy your freedom

Hi imai,
Don't be worried, it takes 21 weeks now as I compared the latest applicants and the times they received theirs.
I can understand how you feel. It is nerve wrecking for sure. I am worried as well though I say not to worry :P

Hopefully we will hear something next week.
Good Luck to you.

Hi Mai201555,
Did you hear anything from the Home Office?

Hi guys,
I still haven't heard anything from them. I was hoping to hear from them before Easter holidays.
I am very tensed and it's really nerve wracking.

Has anyone heard from the HO?
