additional adminstrative processing in UK

Hi,
It has been 8 long months for me to get a reply from the embassy of the United states in London,
Initially my visa was refused for addtional documents and when i submitted all the addtional documents , and have been waiting for nearly 7 months, now they send me a mail that my case is going for addtional adminstrative processing,
can any body tell me how long will this take, as i lost the taste of going to US now,.

I understand that administrative processing can take 12 months or more - with the recent addition of travellers under the Visa Waiver Programme on to the US-VISIT scheme (finger printing and photo at a port of entry) I would anticipate such processing to be even lengthier. What is the relevant lawyer saying on the matter?
