Tier 1 (General) Dependent extension supporting Documents

Post by k_tier1 » Tue Apr 14, 2015 12:15 pm

Hi,

I got a PEO appointment for my Dependent this Saturday for Tier 1 (General) Dependent extension after i got my ILR approved 10 days ago. Could you please confirm whether the following supporting documents are enough for this (Please note that this is her first in-country dependent application after her entry clearance application in the same category in INDIA in June 2014),

Dependent's documents:
1. Appointment confirmation & Payment sheets
2. Covering letter
3. Application form & Photographs
4. Original Passport
5. Maintenance funds from a Joint savings account for the last 90 days
6. (Provisional) Driving licence, Individual current account bank statement and NHS registration medical card for address proofs
(We are in a shared accommodation and all the bills are being looked after by my Landlord, So no Council Tax/Utility bills on our names... Please advice an alternative if it is going to be a problem)
7. Original Marriage certificate
8. Health Surcharge payment confirmation letter

Main Applicant's documents:
1. Self attested copies of My Passport and BRP card
2. Sponsorship letter (not sure this is required or not, please advice)
2. 6 months payslips (not sure these are required or not, please advice)
3. Corresponding 6 months personal bank statements (not sure these are required or not, please advice)

Please confirm whether the above documents are enough or not and please advice if i'm missing anything that is mandatory.

Thank you very much for your help.

Kind regards
k_tier1

Looking good for dependents documents. You dont need to submit sponsor letter, payslips and bank stmts.

However to show proof of co-existence, I would recommend submitting 6 months bank stmts for main applicant and also self attested copy of driving licence (if available)

Hi O_Relly,

Thanks for ur reply.

As far as Co-habitation is concerned, do you think NOT submitting Council Tax bill/Utility bills is going to create any problems . Please reply. Thank you.

hi k_tier1,

Many thanks for posting your result here. its so helpful. I'm on the same boat. Could you please help me in the following questions in the PBS dependent form. I'm little onfused.Could you please clarify for me

M6; Has the PBS main applicant’s application been assessed in accordance with paragraphs
39 to 42 of the HSMP Forum Ltd. Judicial Review Policy Document?
Yes No

ans: No

N4; Do you intend to remain in the UK beyond the period of leave that your Spouse/Civil
Partner has or may be given?
Yes No

Ans: No

Also, I saw people in your post commented to give main applications original BRP and passport. Have you provided original or just the copy with self attested. And have you provided the rent agreement as well.

Just to let you know that my wife also came on PBS dependent from India on september 2013. Now I got my ILR on 5 year route and would like to extend my wife's PBS dependent on next week. Your answer will be highly appreciated.

hi Sair_ILR,

M6; Has the PBS main applicant’s application been assessed in accordance with paragraphs
39 to 42 of the HSMP Forum Ltd. Judicial Review Policy Document?Yes No
ans: No
[It depends mate, i understood u got ur ILR in a 5 year route visa category so i believe u had never been on HSMP visa, which used to be the work Visa before PBS system based visas were introduced. So ur answer is right as far as i know, please double check with seniors/gurus...]

N4; Do you intend to remain in the UK beyond the period of leave that your Spouse/Civil Partner has or may be given?Yes No

Ans: No [u r right]

Also, I saw people in your post commented to give main applications original BRP and passport. Have you provided original or just the copy with self attested. And have you provided the rent agreement as well.
[I handed over my Original Passport & BRP card along with her application to the CW, please note that i have submitted self attested copies too as part of the application. Let me clear a bit more here, application never asked for main applicant's originals and CW did NOT say no when i submitted them along with my dependent's passport so i think its ur personal choice. If u r going in person, submitting originals don't do any harm but make sure that the CW should not cancel ur BRP card mistaking for ur dependent's if he/she has one] [did not submit rental agreement]

Just to let you know that my wife also came on PBS dependent from India on september 2013. Now I got my ILR on 5 year route and would like to extend my wife's PBS dependent on next week. Your answer will be highly appreciated.

thanks.

Hi,

I am looking to submit the following documents for proof of cohabitation for my wife's PBS dependent application:
1. Wife's bank statement for last 12m
2. Wife's credit card statement
3. My credit card statement
4. council tax statements
5. electoral registry confirmation
6. utility bills
7. tenancy agreement confirmation
8. wife's payslips with address proof

The application date is on 5th May 2015 and most documents are covered well within the last month prior to the application. However, only the credit card statement is dated on 4th April 2015 which is exactly 31 days prior to the application. Does this still hold? I don't quite know what one month means for UKVI - 30 or 31 days.

Please clarify urgently!!
