Schengen Visa Help

Post by rromeo » Mon May 18, 2015 12:04 pm

I need to go to Czech Republic in June for a couple of days. Then again in July for a couple of days. I will be going to Italy for a week in August.

I wanted to ask:
1- Is it possible to get a multi-entry schengen visa given my itinerary?
2- What embassy should I apply into?
3- What are the processing time...before one gets a decision?...any experience?
4- Would a European Health Card suffice for insurance?

nb: i am a non-eu national..living in ireland...

Your help/advice/opinion would be really appreciated.

Many thanks. :)

1- Multiple entry visa is only granted if you been to any EU countries twice and obtained visas on 2 different occasions.

2- If you need to go to Czech first than apply in Czech Embassy.

3- Processing time for Spain is about 4 weeks. France is about 3 weeks. Not sure about Czech. My guess would be to keep 2 to 4 weeks in mind.

4- You would need a private medical insurance as far as I am aware but before buy a medical insurance some where else prsent the European Health Card and see what do they say.

Good Luck...

Just another quick question: where would you recommend to get the travel insurance?

1- Is it possible to get a multi-entry schengen visa given my itinerary?
in simple words, no. and sometimes it actually make them suspecious and refuse your application and other times you could pay for a multi and they only grant you a single entry visa.
only if you have/had a UK visa AND a US visa which are multi, they could be satisfied and grant you the multi entry visa.
(from personal experience with visas)
