General PR/ILR query

MY wife and I got married in Feb 08th 2013. She came as a Tier 2 dependant as I was on a Tier 2 work permit at that point.

I obtained my PR/ILR in August 2013, my wife continued to stay on the Tier 2 dependant Visa and we also went to India and came back with no issues with her continuing to be on the Tier 2 dependant Visa. But now her Visa will run out in March 2016. Can she apply for PR or will she have to apply for a dependant Visa again. She will be preparing to write her PR life in the UK test by November.

Please can someone kindly advice.
