My wife received a 10 year ban from entering the US in 2004 because she overstayed a tourist visa by over a year. She has since moved to the UK and has recently acquired a British passport. As it has been 11 years since the ban and she has a new passport we were hoping to visit the US this summer. However, as they have her fingerprints on file, we are concerned that she may be stopped at the airport and refused entry. Does anybody know if she can just show up or whether she has to get special permission because of the previous ban?
Thanks in advance for any replies.
