Dependent Child Tier1 (General Visa)

Hi,

My friend is on Tier 1 (General). He had a child out side UK . now the family need to join back to him.
looking at the funds requirement for the kids Tier1 dependent visa it seems around 1890£ is required for each dependent in his account.

my questions
1. since His wife is having visa already ?should He show additional 1890£ in his account? i.e total 4680 = 1890£ for partner+1890£ for kid + 900£ for himself) or just 2790 = 1890£ for kid + 900£ for himself in his funds?

2. Funds can be shown in Wife's abroad Account?
