Iam going crazy with stress and I don't know what to do. I call ukvi everyday and they say they have no more information for me. Should I go to my MP?
I now email hocommunications@communications.homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk and ask proper update as I get monthly email from that email address. I dont know if they will reply. The suspence is killing me oh!

Hi Melak,

The HO took same time for me and they forgot to send me my documents. The call will not take you anywhere and they information you get from different operators will be different. the best option is to write a details letter with urgent attention to the address where you sent you application and this would help you get a response or they can send you ILR straightaway. I did the same and it helped.

I wish you get your ILR soon.

Thank you.

Hi guys,

I have a question on applying for ILR via Protection Route. My friend was granted Travel Document (refugee status) in 2012. I understand she is eligible for ILR in 2017.

* However, I do not see any rules stating how many days she can be out of the UK during this 5 year period?

* Also, if she were to apply for UK citizenship after having obtained ILR for at least 1 year, what amount of days can she be out of the UK?

Sorry but I do not see much guidance on this on the UKBA website. Any help would be highly appreciated.

Many thanks.

Hello guys

I have received my ILR on the 13th of August. Timeline;
Applied 15/06/15 (a week before expiry)
Biometrics around 30/06/15
Biometric card and letter of approval received on 13/08/15. Cards for my dependents came today (17/08/15).
Time taken is around 2 months.

Question: when can I apply for naturalisation? My LLR expired on 21st June. Do I have to wait for a year to end? I need to travel soon, is it advisable to apply for Travel Document? And how long is the waiting time?

Thank in advance. I hope and pray that you all get ILRs as soon as possible.

I forgot to ask if one has to take both knowledge of English (Esol) and life in the UK test or only the latter is enough.

Ps, I have an expired IELTS certificate (7.5) taken some years ago in the UK. It was valid for two years. Can I use it? I have once read somewhere it can be used if taken before april 2015 but can't recall where.

I also have an undergrad diploma from UK university. It was basically a 3 year degree course but dropped after successfully completing the first two years and was awarded a diploma instead. Thanks again.

Update:

Application Sent - 09th Sept 2015
Received by HO - 10th Sept 2015
Biometrics letter received 19th Sept 2015 Dated 16th Sept 2015
Biometrics enrolled 19th Sept 2015
Approval?
BRP Card?

While i hope my application is decided soon, i am happy with the letter they have sent for now. I was a little concerned as i am employed full time and it would be a matter of time before my employer asks me for proof. I can show them this letter for now.

And the real wait starts now......... :(

Good luck to all of us!
