EUFAM. EU spouse working in N.I. Valid?

Post by curious9 » Mon Aug 03, 2015 6:59 pm

Hi Guys,

I am Non-EU spouse of a british national who is exercising her treaty rights in Ireland. I was granted stamp 4 eufam visa in 2012 and have been working since then providing for our family,

I was just wondering is my wife (British national) allowed to take up job in Northern Ireland?

We live in Dundalk and she has been offered a job in newry.

If she takes up the role would it affect on my EU-FAM i.e would they consider my visa null and void as the EU-National spouse is working in her home country technically !!!

Appreciate your help and replies in this matter.

Regards

Hi

Yes it will you need to work in republic of Ireland for at least 5 years.Until your spouse gets permanent residency. Northern Ireland is part of the UK so it wont count
