Hi ,

I have read all your posts but one thing which is missing are your figures ( calculations) for the particular year which HO says income won't match . I have read your post that you have received your SA302 and it's ok in this regard please list the split years figures so that it can give us idea of your current situation. I am not saying right or wrong but it will help others to give you good advice . Let's take it simple and please answer the following questions

1) When you went for previous application what exact income you have showed to HO . Please write your exact months
2) Tax system works years to years basis so its your responsibility in the end to make all maths looks good. I think and in my opinion no body will sit and do the maths for you. You can take my question as : have you showed SA302 to CW and try to explain how things are adding up ?
3) In my opinion you will be all good if following equation adds up ( may be you need additional cover letter to explain it and please can this be verified by accountant as well)

Year April to April : Income showed to HMRC = or greater than income showed to HO

split case : 2 years add up to exactly the same income you show to HO and HMRC

Many Thanks
Thanks

Ali

@aliq09, First off all, thanks for your post.

About your first question, I don't see why would anyone disclose their own business/income details to forum members.

Secondly, I mentioned in my post I didn't take SA302 form with me. And my argument is if CW is playing the judging role here they should know what they are doing. As long as we are within our legal boundaries and did all work accordingly they have means to verify that.

Yeah, to me all figures are adding up.

Cheers

Pointless to submit any tax documents unless asked by case worker.

Hi Crazy Topu, Any update on your case yet ?
Was there any specific reason they checked your tax records ? Coz most of people I know are getting ILR (LR) without any tax problem
Thank you

@Fair720, No update yet.

I think it was part of a random check. Also, I had completed 5 years before 10 years but yet I applied for 10 years. Could that be the reason? I simply applied on 10 years as that's a lot less work to do (fewer documentations etc) - nothing else.

Received a letter today - they asked me to attend an interview next week. I already had one the day I applied at PEO. Any idea why they might want to see me again?

I think they probably want more confirmation from you.
They will not want to refuse you based on their error.
Good news is around the corner.

Is that So? What error? Surely, HMRC is able to provide all what HO needs, no?

Hi crazytopu,
When is your interview?
If possible take a letter from accountant explaining your relevant income & taxes are up to date, might help visa officer to make decision in your favour, because some visa officers really struggle to understand tax affairs if they fall in two different tax years.
Best wishes...

Second interview took place with more questions. Examples:

1. How did you start sole trading
2. Who is your accountant, how often do you meet him.
3. Do you have visibility what your accountant does with your accounts or he takes care of it all.
4. Why didn't you take dividend the following year (question relating to my LTD)

Eventually they said they are not happy with the answer re. dividends and hinted a refusal. They even wanted to give the result there and then but said they are too busy and would process in the evening.

Waited 4 days and got it by post. BRP arrived same day. APPROVED. :D
